We have reached a time of year when it is normal to decorate houses and common areas for the celebration of Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

However, in order for these decorations not to pose an increased fire safety hazard in the building, certain safety criteria must be met.

Thus, Ordinance No. 1532/2008 of 29 December, which approved the fire safety regime in buildings, provides that whenever used in artificial plants, Christmas trees or other similar synthetic elements of reaction to fire not specified they must be kept away from any source of heat and should be provided with appropriate supplementary first intervention means – such as extinguishers. It should also be noted that these temporary decoration elements must be disassembled and removed within 48 hours of the events justifying them.

So you know, if you want to embed your home and your condominium with the Christmas spirit, do it with complete security!
